Dormi

If you’re the kind of diner who enjoys discovering cozy spots that serve bold flavors and fusion comfort food, Dormi might just be your next obsession. Tucked away at 96 Trafalgar Rd, London SE10 9UW, Dormi is one of those under-the-radar places that locals swear by, especially when hunger strikes around lunch or dinner.

Walk in and you’ll notice it’s not trying too hard to impress with flashy interiors or over-the-top decor. Instead, the vibe is relaxed, perfect for solo diners looking to enjoy a meal in peace or friends catching up over small plates and drinks. It’s one of those places where the food speaks for itself-and believe me, it says a lot.

Dormi specializes in a mix of Asian-inspired dishes with modern twists, and it does so really well. Whether you’re a noodle-lover, a meat fanatic, or someone with a sweet tooth, there's something here for you.

Take their Drunken Noodles for instance-spicy, garlicky, and served steaming hot. It's not the kind of dish you find done right just anywhere in London. Then there’s the Laksa, a rich and aromatic coconut curry noodle soup that warms you up from the inside out, with depth and kick that suggests someone in that kitchen really knows what they're doing.

Craving something crispy and addictive? Try the Korean Chicken-perfectly fried, sticky-sweet, and spicy. The Wasabi Prawns are another standout, offering a creamy punch of heat that’s addictive without being overwhelming. Meat lovers should look no further than the First Class Beef Ho Fun or the Steak and Chicken combo, both of which balance texture, sear, and saucy goodness with finesse.

But if you ask regulars what truly keeps them coming back, you’ll often hear one thing: the Home Made Matcha Cheesecake. Yes, it's as decadent as it sounds. A silky, earthy twist on a classic dessert, it rounds out a flavorful meal in a way that feels indulgent without being heavy.

Dormi doesn’t deliver, but it’s totally worth the detour. Takeaway and dine-in options are both available, and the place is particularly popular for lunch and dinner. It offers a good mix of healthy choices and small plates, making it a great stop whether you’re ravenous or just peckish.

There's also alcohol on the menu-yes, you can sip on a beer or enjoy a glass of wine with your meal, which pairs beautifully with many of the spicier or richer dishes. Spirits and cocktails are served too, giving the space a lowkey bar-vibe, especially in the evenings.

One underrated highlight? It’s a very solo-diner-friendly place. There’s something about the laid-back energy and fast service that makes it feel totally comfortable for a quick solo meal.

While London isn’t exactly short on Asian fusion spots, Dormi stands out for one reason: consistency. The flavors hit hard every time, the portions are generous without going overboard, and the menu doesn't try to be everything-it just focuses on doing a few things really well.

Unlike some trend-chasing spots, Dormi doesn’t rely on Instagrammable interiors or gimmicky dishes. Instead, it puts the spotlight on bold flavor profiles, well-executed classics, and affordable pricing, especially for the area.

A few other dishes worth checking out? The Singapore Rice Noodles-light, fragrant, and generously tossed with protein; Chicken Teriyaki, which balances sweetness and umami like a pro; and Kulfi, a creamy frozen dessert that brings the meal to a sweet, cooling close.

Where do I even start! A small family restaurant in the heart of Greenwich offering a wide variety of authentic chinese, japanese and korean food. A very welcoming and attentive service. The freshest flat noodles with that tenderest beef was just a perfection. As well as amazing prawn tempura and cucumber salad. The fried rice was stated as "extra" which sounded like a side dish turned out to be a proper full meal also tailored to the taste of the visitor (we've removed pork). And let me finish with the homemade matcha cheesecake -- the creamy matcha gorgeousness was a perfect end of our meal. 100000% recommended and we'll certainly be back many times.

I’m so glad that I find out this place is now managed back by the owners themselves who take care of the venue and customers wholeheartedly. Tried a variety of homemade dishes which are served freshly and efficiently, and the taste of which is like home to me and probably is better than quite a few high street Chinese restaurants. The customers are apparently foodies and countless “yum” from what they order! And then I find out the family business has nearly half a century of catering experience, which explains why!! I am so glad to be back again with friends after a month. The customer service has been first class, extremely thoughtful and tailored flavor based on customer needs! And their food just reminds of HOME! No wonder one of the customers ran 7km to dine here. Thanks for the delicious cuisine! See you again soon! Literally my canteen now! And a place all customers are happy and saying hi to each other. Really fortunate to have enjoyed delicacy served by both boss and boss lady today. Tofu and Singaporean style fried noodles are must try!

This restaurant does amazing pan Asian food. Lots of vegan options, homemade food, good price, very tasty. You can take your own alcoholic drinks. Good customer service. Lovely family run restaurant. I have been a few times and so far my favourite things on the menu are the vegan chicken and homemade matcha cheesecake, this is the best cheesecake I have ever had!

Really great local spot. The food was tasty and freshly made. we had the prawn tempura, spring rolls, gyoza, noodles, and karaage chicken. The karaage and the mains were my favourites. Prices were fair, and the service was great, super friendly and efficient. It’s a family-run place, so you can tell they really care. Definitely worth coming back.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the family who owns the restaurant is incredibly warm and welcoming. You can really feel the love and hard work that goes into every dish. Highly recommend—it’s a true gem in Greenwich :) x
